Seeing Life at Every Scale: From Molecules to Tissues
The Faculty of Biosciences announces the sixth edition of a public lecture series entitled “Bio(R)evolution: new Faces, new Ideas, new Horizons” on November 23rd 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Large Lecture Hall in INF230 (COS). With this series, the Faculty of Biosciences offers newly appointed professors from across Heidelberg's life sciences a platform to present their visionary research questions and highlights the relevance of basic research at Ruperto Carola for tackling major societal challenges. The target audience includes faculty members, students, researchers, and the general public interested in biosciences. The lecture format typically involves two presentations of 20-25 minutes each by the newly appointed or co-opted professor, followed by a moderated discussion on the societal implications of their research. The event concludes with a small reception. The two speakers will be Prof. Dr. Cristina Paulino (BZH) and Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Rudolf (TH Mannheim). Please also forward this invitation to other interested persons.
